Main research areas: art and design of the 20th century, visual culture research and design culture research.

He has published over 40 academic articles and numerous reviews on journals including "Dushu", "Art Research", "World Art", and "Art Observation" and published the monograph Modern Design and Ethical Thinking (2014). His translated works include Twentieth-Century Design (2012), Design for the Real World (2013), The Green Imperative (2014), and Vision in Motion (2016). At the same time, he is the editor-in-chief of "Design Follows Nature" (2016), "Design Mantra: Selections of Western Modern Design Classics" (2010) and the deputy editor of "20th Century Chinese Graphic Design Documents" (2012). He has won the second "China Art Award • Theoretical Criticism Award" (2014), the Fok Yingdong Education Foundation Young Teacher Award (2014), and the 14th Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award (2016). In addition, he has also planned "Open Tradition" (2014), "Traditional Radical: The Birth of Modern Chinese Character Design" (2015), "Font Modern" (2016), "The Story of Kaiti" (2017) Years) and other art and design exhibitions. He is currently presiding over the selection and translation of the "Design Classics Translation Collection". As the chief writer of the first interactive art education APP in China, "The Course of Beauty", he is committed to promoting the popularization and dissemination of art knowledge under the conditions of new media.
