Forbidden City School - PBL Teaching Collaboration Enterprise

Beijing Normal University School of Future design collaborates with the Forbidden City School in conducting the "Development of Children's Books on the Architecture of the Forbidden City" project in the form of a PBL teaching practice project. This project involves the design and development of a series of children's books, themed around the architecture of the Forbidden City, for children aged 6-12. The content of the reading materials revolves around the architectural decorations and space of the Forbidden City, integrating different disciplinary knowledge, and triggering imagination and activating thinking through interesting explanations and creative questions. Meanwhile, through design presentations in forms such as flat, three-dimensional structures, and digital interaction, children of all stages can observe, understand, and analyze the architecture of the Forbidden City from different dimensions, and see the Forbidden City at "different precisions". This set of books aims to provide auxiliary teaching functions for family interaction education and school classroom and practice activities, thereby achieving the education goals of design aesthetics and interdisciplinary knowledge popularization.
