SFD Achieves Outstanding Results in the 18th China Creative Challenges Contest

From November 22 to 26, the 18th China Good Creative and National Digital Art Design Competition, also known as the China Creative Challenge, held its 72-hour timed competition at the Boxun Automotive Industrial Park in Xinyu, Jiangxi. This 72-hour timed competition served as a direct route to the national competition, conducted in a timed format where participating students had to complete the design tasks specified by the organizing committee within 72 hours, presenting a considerable challenge.

Under the guidance of Professor Zhou Tiange, Head of the Art and Technology Laboratory at Beijing Normal University's School of Future Design, seven Master's students in Art Design from the class of 2022—Li Xinyu, Liu Zefeng, Xu Zekai, Yi Zhijie, Yin Bo, Zhao Xu, and Zhao Yichuang—participated in the competition and achieved excellent results. They won the second prize in the Exploratory Dynamic Group, the third prize in the Exploratory Static Group, and the third prize in the Applied Dynamic Group, receiving recognition from judges representing over seventy universities nationwide. Professor Zhou Tiange also received the Outstanding Guidance Teacher Award.

The China Creative Challenge Contest is listed in the "National General Higher Education Discipline Competition Rankings" released by the China Higher Education Association. It is the first comprehensive competition in China's digital art design, digital creativity, digital media, and digital technology innovation fields, involving a large scale, interdisciplinary approach, multiple specialties, and participation from numerous universities, making it a widely influential authoritative event. The national competition of this edition, adopting a timed format for the first time, attracted nearly 800 students from 78 institutions, including Tongji University, East China Normal University, Communication University of China, Donghua University, East China University of Science and Technology, Beijing Film Academy, and others. The participants overall produced 180 dynamic works and 262 static works.
