Delegation Led by the President of the Chinese Arts and Crafts Society Cai Daying Visited the SFD

On February 20, Cai Daying, president of the Chinese Arts and Crafts Society, visited the School of Future Design. Ning Shaolin, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai, and Gao Peng, Dean of the School of Future Design, met and had an in-depth communication with the guests.

Ning welcomed Cai’s delegation and gave a brief introduction to Zhuhai Campus. Gao expressed his gratitude for the support from Chinese Arts and Crafts Society and introduced the School and the achievements in field of teaching, research, international cooperation ,and social services since the establishment. He indicated that the high-level social cooperation is the key point for School’s development. The School looks forward to furthering cooperation with the society through various research cooperation and cultural exchange.

Cai expressed his appreciation of the School's development concept and his expectations of the advantages that the School could play in the Greater Bay Area in the future. He hoped that both sides could completely combine strengths and deepen cooperation in the integration of industry, academia, and research, which in an attempt to create a high-level cooperation base for the Greater Bay Area to serve the society and the country.

Established in 1979, the Chinese Arts and Crafts Society, a national-level society affiliated with the China Association for Science and Technology, is an academic and non-profit social organization for public benefit registered under the law by a voluntary combination of national arts and crafts workers.

Over the past 40 years, the Chinese Arts and Crafts Society has been adhering to innovation, gathering the elite of artistic creation and design research. It devotes to academic research, science education, application innovation, think-tank construction, and talent cultivation in the field of arts and crafts.
