SFD was invited to participate in the 6th Art and Science International Exhibition and Symposium

At the beginning of this year, the opening ceremony of the 6th Art and Science International Exhibition and Symposium, jointly organized by the China Association for Science and Technology Science and Technology Communication Center, Tsinghua University, and the China Science and Technology Museum, was held at the China Association for Science and Technology Science and Technology Communication Center (National Science and Technology Communication Center) in Beijing. The exhibition, themed "Parallel Time and Space: Experience, Inclusiveness, Exploration," brought together nearly a hundred works from globally renowned artists, scientists, engineers, and designers. Through forms such as interaction, light and shadow, immersion, painting, and installations, it showcased the infinite possibilities of the integration of art and science.

Beijing Normal University's School of Future Design was invited to exhibit its "A Leaf for a Millennium" project at the 6th Art and Science International Exhibition and Symposium. Inspired by a small tea leaf, the project showcases the Eastern value of "one flower, one world; one leaf, one enlightenment," using contemporary design techniques to present an aesthetically rich future Oriental lifestyle scene.

The "A Leaf for a Millennium" project is an innovative extension of the national large-scale project "Chinese Culture Pavilion at the 2020 Dubai Expo - Future Living Space" signed by the school and the Chinese Tea Culture (Tea Industry) Special Committee of the Chinese Culture Pavilion at the 2020 Dubai Expo.

The project draws inspiration from the art of tea tasting in the Song Dynasty, incorporating its exquisite tea-making craftsmanship and spiritually healing cultural connotations. It integrates Song Dynasty style with modern technology, cleverly combining elements such as Chinese jade, bamboo, and tea to create a display design that integrates culture, art, and technology, presenting an Eastern lifestyle that is both traditional and futuristic.
