SFD Hosted the Global Service JAM at Zhuhai

From March 17 to 19, the Global Service JAM, co-organized by Zhuhai Design Center, the Beijing Normal University School of Future Design, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area University Collaborative Innovation Centre and Huafa Haiyuncheng Xintiandi Commercial Operation Co, was successfully concluded in Haiyun City. Taking Haiyun City - Cultural and Tourism Business Service Design Co-creation as its direction, the event combined with the mysterious theme of the Global Service JAM to build a vibrant Haiyun City by gathering the power of social innovation.

The Global Service JAM invited experts and local practitioners from the global service design and cultural tourism business service fields to share the latest service design cases and practical experiences, which explored how to provide a better user experience for the cultural tourism and business services of Haiyun City and Beaver Island and enhance the cultural charm of Zhuhai through service design thinking.

Participants in the event included teachers and students from local universities in Zhuhai as well as members of the community from different professional fields, who formed 10 groups under the leadership of professional mentors from Beijing Normal University, Sun Yat-sen University, Beijing Institute of Technology Zhuhai and other universities. Through field research, they adhered to the design principle of "user first + tracking the experience process + involving all touch points + committing to creating a perfect user experience", proposed pain points based on the current situation of Haiyun City and Beaver Island, which actively echoed the global mystery theme. In the end, they produced innovative service solutions with implementable features.

Gao Peng, Dean of the School of Future Design of Beijing Normal University, said that this Co-Creation Festival event brought together youth from major universities and various industries in Zhuhai. They not only flexibly applied service design to urban services, but also fully utilize and demonstrate the creativity, vitality and literacy of Zhuhai youth, empowering Zhuhai's urban development.
