Beijing Normal University Future Design Seed Fund Finalist Announced
On March 29, the second-round assessment of Beijing Normal University Future Design Seed Fund is completed. 25 finalist projects were selected by the expert jury through oral defense of each project and will be tutored and funded by the Future Design Seed Fund.
In addition, the BNU Future Design Seed Fund also invited the President of Royal College of Arts, UK to initiate a forum and training course for deans of Chinese art and design schools, hoping to promote the exchange and cooperation between Chinese and world top art and design schools.

The expert jury of the BNU Future Design Center evaluated all the shortlisted projects are with innovation, foresight and their own characteristics and expanded the funding scale to better support these projects. Each funded project will complete a mid-term evaluation by 2021 and project closure by 2022.
Background
The Future Design Seed Fund set up on October 15, 2020 aims to identify design talents and youth teachers worldwide; to organize a wide range of social forces to jointly carry out scientific research; to build a new type of practical training platform and optimize the training mode for talent innovation; and to deepen university-enterprise cooperation and accelerate the transformation of scientific research results.
This year, the BNU Future Design Seed Fund received 159 submissions in total, and after blind-review recommendation and general discussion, 25 projects were finally selected by the expert jury through a comprehensive evaluation from five perspectives: futuristic, experiential innovation, social impact, feasibility and relevance to BNU FDC.
