On September 1st, SFD welcomed 117 new undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students. With high hopes for a bright future, these students are about to embark on their academic journey at the BNU campus in southern China.  

On the day of the orientation, Wei Wei, Vice Chairman of the University Council and Chairperson of the University Council, Zhuhai Campus visited the college's orientation site to learn about the registration process and welcome activities for the new students, as well as to greet the frontline staff. 

Gao Peng, Dean of SFD, and Ning Shaolin, Secretary of the Party Branch, engaged in discussions with the new students on the new academic year's vision at the orientation site. On the same day, Dean Gao Peng, along with some faculty members, visited the student dormitories to warmly greet the students and engage in discussions on topics related to student life and academic planning. 

Jing Yizheng, a 2024 master's student at SFD, expressed his excitement: "Stepping onto the campus, every frame of the photos has become a reality: warm smiles from the seniors, kind teachers conversing with students in the dormitories, and the unique architectural layout amidst picturesque scenery that is truly refreshing. I am filled with passion and eagerly anticipate the vibrant campus life ahead. I also look forward to continuing my exploration of the limitless boundaries of creativity and using design to light up the future." Wu Mian, a 2024 doctoral student, shared his thoughts: "Returning to campus after nine years, I deeply appreciate the joy of being a student and the preciousness of time spent learning. From today, I will empty myself, embrace challenges, and start anew!"

Moving forward, SFD will continue to uphold the university’s motto of Learn to be an Excellent Teacher; Act as an Exemplary Person," striving to provide students with high-quality educational resources and a conducive learning environment, helping them to reach new heights in their academic pursuits and embrace a bright future.
