Sun Ruiheng holds a PhD in Contemporary Art Practice and Research from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and a Master’s degree in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art. His practice focuses on growth experiences, bloodline, speculative futures, and the construction of relationships between humans and objects. He has long explored diverse working methods at the intersection of art, design, education, and technology. His works span moving image, installation, sculpture, painting, performance, and interactive systems, with a particular focus on the generation of constructed artifacts and their perceptual and conceptual roles within moving images, situations, and narrative structures. In addition to his artistic practice, teaching, and research, he has participated in a wide range of public cultural, spatial experience, and innovative design projects. His clients and collaborators have included DENSO, Toyota, Dubai Airports, UNIQLO, Unilever, Vistopia, ONEapp, Shanghai Xintiandi, FILA, and Simple Life Festival.

His works and projects have been exhibited or presented at institutions including the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, OCAT, Guardian Art Center, Taoxichuan Art Museum, and Huamao Museum of Art Education. They have also been selected for international moving image and transmedia programs such as Rencontres Internationales Traverse and Deep Focus. His practice has been featured in media outlets including CLOT Magazine, VICE, Bazaar Art, and BIEDE.
