Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts Delegation, Led by Cai Yonghua, Party Committee Member and Vice President, Visits SFD

On March 14th, Cai Yonghua, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, led a delegation to visit the School of Future Design at Beijing Normal University. They were welcomed by Wang Shoujun, a member of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Beijing Normal University, Yu Lihong, Deputy Director of the Zhuhai Campus Management Committee, Gao Peng, Dean of the School of Future Design, and other relevant officials from the Zhuhai campus.

During the meeting, Wang Shoujun extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of the university and exchanged souvenirs with Cai Yonghua and his team. Yu Lihong introduced the school's mission to establish a "comprehensive, research-oriented, and teacher-education-leading Chinese world-class university," as well as the integrated educational pattern with campuses in Beijing and Zhuhai. She emphasized that the establishment of the School of Future Design at the Zhuhai campus would provide strong support and services for the innovative development of the Greater Bay Area. 

Cai Yonghua briefed the history, talent cultivation, and scientific research of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, as well as the innovative development model of the Guangzhou-Foshan campus in terms of disciplines and international exchanges. He expressed that as the only independent higher art institution in South China, the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts is deeply rooted in the cultural innovation of the Greater Bay Area and continuously explores future development directions.

Gao Peng elaborated on the academic advantages, educational positioning, and vision of the School of Future Design to the guests. He expressed hope for future cooperation and synergy in design education in the Greater Bay Area, highlighting numerous opportunities for exchange and collaboration between the School of Future Design and the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in areas such as basic art education, art and technology, and design education.

During the visit, Cai Yonghua and his delegation, accompanied by Gao Peng and some teachers from the institute, toured the ongoing exhibition of design education achievements at the institute's art gallery and its laboratories, expressing appreciation for the institute's outstanding achievements.
