Hosted by the School of Future Design at Beijing Normal University, the “Cognition, Art, and Science Interdisciplinary Forum” takes place in the Yuanbai Building from the 8th to the 9th of December. The forum is dedicated to fostering cross-disciplinary cooperation and innovative educational development. Through keynote speeches, thematic sharing, and practical workshops, it provides a platform for interdisciplinary exchange, exploring the possibilities of integrating innovative art design, cognitive behaviour, information analysis, and science education. It aims to collaboratively explore the future forms of design and innovative educational pathways.
The forum has invited numerous experts from the fields of education, art, design, psychology, and computer science, including the Vice Dean and Professor Cheng Zhaohui from the Academy of Innovative Design at the China Academy of Art; Engineer Shan Keqiu from Beijing Hengzhi Technology Co., Ltd.; Pierre Pica, a researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research, a member of UMR 7023, a French linguist, and one of the founders of the Linguistic Society; and Luo Biwu, a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. These scholars come together to discuss the integration and interactive potential between art design, cognitive behaviour, technology education, and scientific environments, sharing their individual practical experiences.
In this era filled with challenges and opportunities, interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange have become crucial driving forces for innovation and development. We must not only deepen our understanding of different fields of knowledge but also expand the boundaries of our thinking.
Looking to the future, the integration of disciplines will bring more unknown possibilities to education, creating richer and more diverse solutions. This forum offers new ideas for educational innovation and provides a profound perspective on the future of design education and innovative pathways.
