Nam Kwong (Group) Limited is the only central enterprise headquartered in Macau that is directly managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. The group’s predecessor, Nam Kwong Trading Company, was established in August 1949 and was the first Chinese-funded institution in Macau. In August 1985, Nam Kwong (Group) Limited was established. On September 1, 2017, China Nam Kwong Group Limited was officially registered in Hengqin. In November 2019, the Macau Special Administrative Region Government awarded Nam Kwong Group the "Silver Lotus Honor Medal." In January 2021, two major associations chaired by Nam Kwong Group - the Macau China Enterprises Association and the Macau Chamber of Tourism—were respectively awarded the "Industrial and Commercial Merits Medal" and the "Tourism Merit Medal" by the Macau Special Administrative Region Government, fully demonstrating the widespread and high recognition Nam Kwong enjoys within Macau society.

The SFD is collaborating with Nam Kwong Group to plan the "Future Exhibition," which is scheduled to be held in Hengqin in mid-2025.
