In order to promote communication among teachers and students in teaching, research, and practice, and to carry out deep cooperation in various fields, Beijing Normal University’s School of Future Design has reached a strategic cooperation with Hongki University in Korea. In the future, the two sides will fully utilize their respective resource advantages to promote the development of design innovation, including academic research, teacher-student communication and exchange programs, course cooperation, etc.

The university offers a wide range of key undergraduate majors and houses national-level research institutes in the fields of science and culture. Hongik University is also one of the institutions participating in South Korea's "BK21+" project.
The International Design Research Institute at Hongik collaborates on design projects and cultural exchanges with numerous countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, China, France, Japan, and Australia, partnering with 116 art universities across 29 countries and regions. The university’s academic leadership, high standards of educational quality, extensive resources, and international development model have positioned it as a leader among art institutions. It is globally recognised for its outstanding achievements in art and design education.
